Deiter Armstrong Year 13 - BSB Boys Team Captain

The upcoming ACAMIS volleyball at BSB will be great experience and I cannot wait to play the other international schools. It will be great fun!”

The squad members have been showing a tremendous amount of dedication and effort tin their preparations for the upcoming tournament. They are displaying a great example of one of the BSB values of commitment, as they are continuing to work hard and persevere in order to perform their best. Each student is putting in their best effort to ensure they are ready for the tournament and are ensuring they are reaching their full potential. It is inspiring to see the students putting in so much effort and displaying such strong commitment to their sport.

Our U19 volleyball students are excellent role models for our BSB younger students. They demonstrate a commitment to their studies and serve as shining examples of what it means to strive for excellence by combing their studies and playing for the school team. They are reliable, hardworking, and demonstrate excellent personal organisation qualities. Through their actions, the younger students can learn from them about the importance of setting goals and working hard to achieve them. By setting a positive example, these students are helping to inspire the younger BSB students to do their best and strive for the best they can be.

BSB backs the ACAMIS sporting philosophy of creating a positive and safe environment where physical, mental, emotional and social wellbeing is promoted. All students are encouraged to develop sportsmanship and a strong ethos of fair play. This philosophy also emphasises creating opportunities for students to experience the importance of taking responsibility for their own actions and to respect the efforts of their opponents. Additionally, this sports philosophy emphasises the importance of staying healthy and being physically active. All of these aspects are essential for creating a positive sporting environment that encourages personal growth and development.
