Year 10 Residential Update from Inner Mongolia October 2023

To succeed in the world, our students first explore it! Our residential programme is an integral part of our curriculum here. It broadens our students’ horizons and help them form lifelong friendships. We have worked closely with our service providers to ensure that the students will experience a wide range of engaging and educational activities that include elements of cultural immersion, challenge, and community building.

Date: Monday 23^rd October to Friday 27^th October, 2023

Day 1

We arrived at Hohhot after a long day of travelling. After a warm welcome and a few words of introduction, our students found themselves with the challenge of sourcing their own ingredients from the market and will spend the evening cooking with their friends to see who wins the Masterchef competition!

Day 2

A coach ride, some amazing food and great scenery on our way out into the desert! Our students have had the chance to explore the wilderness of Inner Mongolia while riding dune buggy’s, spinning around on rollercoasters and zip lining in the stunning and vast desert.

Day 3

An amazing day of learning some survival skills and giving back to the local environment topped with a hard but worthwhile hike. We’re all going to sleep well tonight! Up next a coach journey as we move over the grasslands for tomorrow!

Day 4

A brilliant and exhausting day which included learning about the Mongolian way of life, and photo challenges in the old town of Hohhot. Our kids really enjoyed all the activities on offer and were particularly fond of the Mongolian wrestling! Enjoy today’s pictures!
