In celebration of World Children’s Day, all students joined together to create a heart-shaped mural which is made up of each student’s handprint. Each class is taking turns to join in throughout the day.
World Children's Day is UNICEF's annual day of action for children, by children. Every November 20th we celebrate this day by turning the world blue (the colour of UNICEF) in support of children's rights, and provide platforms to raise the voices of children and young people on the issues they care about.
Thank you so much for our parent volunteers’ help!
During today’s lessons, students learn about World Children's Day. For example German Primary GK4 learned about the rights of children and thought about how they could realise inclusion in their lives and with their behavior. The class like the children’s rights. We are thankful and felt privileged, especially after learning about the Seeway project in Tanzania and children less fortunate than ourselves! We are wearing blue today donating for this charity. We are happy that we can make our small contribution to improve their lives.
Primary Student Leaders present to all NAE students in the world
To mark the celebration of World Children’s Day across the NAE community, this year will be the first-ever Inclusion Festival on Global Campus, which aligns with the theme for this World Children’s Day: inclusion, for every child. This was a full event of peer talks to learn more about the action that NAE students are taking across the globe towards SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities & EDI. Students representing all of Nord Anglia’s regions led talks for both Primary and Secondary audiences, any student or class can dial into the talks through Teams at a time that works for them.
See our Primary student leaders presenting a peer talk at 5pm on 20th November!
The recordings of all sessions have been uploaded to Global Campus, BSB parents and students can log in following the link here.
Our students are encouraged to wear blue (the colour of UNICEF) in support of children's rights and donate to the charity Seeway project in Tanzania.
The British School of Beijing, Shunyi Campus offers the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), which is renowned for its active learning approach. This method is integral to early childhood education, providing young learners with a solid foundation for their future academic and personal development. At BSB Shunyi, active learning means children learn by doing — through a thoughtful blend of teacher-guided activities and independent exploration that develops both their academic skills and their love of learning.
The British School of Beijing recently hosted BritMUN 2025, a Model United Nations (MUN) event that highlights the exceptional organisational and leadership skills of our students. This year's conference was a remarkable success, attracting student delegates from many different schools across Beijing, including the British School of Beijing, the International School of Beijing, Dulwich College Beijing, and Beijing World Youth Academy.
