BSB Shunyi - Finalist for 2 China Schools Awards 2025!

 The British School of Beijing (BSB) Shunyi is honoured to be named as finalist for not one, but two China Schools Awards 2025 - Holistic Education Award and Diversity and Inclusion Award!

The China Schools Awards are organised by the British Chamber of Commerce in China to recognise and celebrate the achievement and best practice of international-oriented K12 education in China. Being confirmed as a finalist in the category means that BSB Shunyi has been selected by the judges as the Top Three among over 110 applications from schools across China.

Jayne Needham, BSB Shunyi Principal said "It is such an honour to have been shortlisted for the Holistic Education Award and the Diversity and Inclusion Award as part of the China Schools Awards 2025, organised by the British Chamber of Commerce in China. Holistic Education and Diversity & Inclusion are themes that are very close to our heart and are areas in which we excel at BSB Shunyi. At BSB Shunyi, we have defined EDIB (Equality, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging) as creating a caring community where everyone is celebrated, respect is prioritised and everyone feels safe and that they belong at BSB. Our development is overseen by an EDIB Committee comprising of teachers, parents and students. We have over 60 different student nationalities and value our diversity and inclusive ethos. Our shared vison and shared values bring unity of approach and promote equity and respect. Core values of Care and Respect (alongside Growth and Excellence) ensure that inclusion concepts are woven into units of curriculum work, assemblies and events.

We look forward to the next stage of rigorous selection process and interviews by the judges. The final results will be announced on 7^th March, 2025.
