This remarkable achievement was the result of months of preparation and a seven-day climb to ensure proper acclimatisation. Kilimanjaro is not only Africa’s highest peak, but also the world’s largest free-standing massif, a formidable challenge.

Climbers face rapid altitude changes, extreme weather conditions and the constant risk of altitude sickness, especially as they approach the summit at 5,895 meters. The journey demands both physical endurance and mental strength, as well as unwavering team support. What a feat!

Our teachers battled altitude sickness, extreme weather and mental fatigue, but powered through with teamwork, grit and resilience. And the rewards were immense: breathtaking views of Kilimanjaro National Park, part of the Serengeti ecosystem and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, celebrated for its unique wildlife and profound significance in human history.

This life-changing experience will no doubt lead our teachers to return with inspiring stories and valuable insights into the importance of teamwork and the power of perseverance in the face of adversity.

On behalf of the school, a huge congratulations!
