Year 3 News

The Year 3 classrooms have been buzzing with excitement this week, as our students happily returned to school, seeing their friends and teachers in person for the first time since VSE! We have spent many wonderful lessons not only getting stuck into work but catching up on what we did in the holidays and remembering the routines. We did some team building activities in PE, to help us learn to work together again after being apart for so long. We welcomed some new students in class, and we are looking forward to seeing the return of the few who are still doing VSE. Our year group assembly focused on celebrating our newly elected Class Representatives, Playground Leaders, and Community Partnership Representatives, who showed a tremendous sense of courage and responsibility by putting themselves forward for these important roles. They will officially start their role after the Chinese New Year holidays. We also celebrated our Year 3 reading “Millionaires”, students who have logged a million or more words read on Accelerated Reader – several have read over 3 million words in total! What a spectacular achievement!
