This month, BSG proudly continued its collaboration with the prestigious Juilliard School of Performing Arts in New York. This partnership extends beyond the ordinary boundaries of education to inspire a transformative, creative curriculum experience for our students.
The teacher training event, hosted by Nord Anglia Chinese International School (NACIS) Shanghai, saw our Primary and Secondary performing arts teachers take part in the outstanding Juilliard training programme, an opportunity that drives creativity, the performing arts, and innovative performing arts teaching within our school.
Mr Jonathan McCourt (Head of Primary Music ), Mr Russell Grant (Head of Secondary Music) and Mr Adam Morgan (Drama teacher) return from their Juilliard training fully prepared to lead learning through novel pedagogical ideas and methodologies. By spending a week immersed in the unique Juilliard approach, deeply rooted in the performing arts, they are eager to return and apply this newfound knowledge to our curriculum.
Our students are the ultimate beneficiaries of this collaboration. They can look forward to an enriched and vibrant educational experience as our faculty members incorporate Juilliard-inspired methods into their teaching. We believe this initiative will not only enhance our students' educational journey but also instill a lifelong appreciation for the arts. BSG is proud to be at the forefront of educational innovation, and we're always excited to share this journey with Juilliard. Together, we aim to nurture well-rounded individuals who are not just academically strong but creatively enriched.
Look out for future school performances and events to see the remarkable transformation in our classrooms, as the synergy between BSG and Juilliard takes performing arts education to unparalleled heights.
