Starting this week, BSKL's Class of 2023 talks about their journey to their preferred university. We at BSKL couldn't be more proud of each and every one of their achievements. 

It's been a wonderfully musical couple of weeks at BSKL with instrumental concerts galore and a visit from our Juilliard Curriculum Specialist Mr Stephen Dunn. 

'Eternal', this year's Social Enterprise team, completed their journey by presenting to a guest panel including Dr O'Connor, Dr Geddes, Mrs Humphrey and special guest David Goldstein.

The Eco Lions team had a busy week putting together activities for Earth Week to promote sustainability within the school, while having fun and learning at the same time.

This week Year 2 performed their hotly anticipated production, 'Dragon Days', to the school and to parents in the theatre. 

The Intermediate Mathematics Challenge is an annual competition run by the UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT) which aims at promoting a love of Mathematical problem solving. A group of our brilliant Year 9s, 10s and 11s took part this year!

We are thrilled to share with you the incredible success of BSKL Idol 2023, organised by our student House leaders. The event was a massive hit, with eight finalists showcasing their talents in singing, magic tricks, violin, dance duets, and ballet. 

In the Parent Partnership series this week we explored the value of Art in the curriculum.

We took 8, very excited, but fairly nervous students to Hui Hin, Black Mountain Golf Resort last week. These students were competing in our first FOBISIA Golf Competition, representing BSKL.

On Sunday 26th March, a few members of the Fencing club visited Triumph Fencing Studio in Sri Hartamas to put their newly learnt skills to a test in a series of matches and try out new equipment. 

On Wednesday 29th March, BSKL hosted a concert featuring 52 young musicians from Years 2 to 13. The audience was taken on a musical journey through a variety of different genres from classical, contemporary, pop and rock.

British International School saw 3 of its swimmers in the recent 65th Milo/MAS Malaysia Open Swimming Championships that was held in National Aquatic Stadium, Bukit Jalil, from the 11th - 14th of March. A FINA-approved competition, this meet saw more than 10 countries participating and is used for qualifications into the World Championships and Southeast Asia Games in the middle of this year. 

Last week BSKL celebrated ‘Science Week’.  This coincides with British Science Week and saw several events taking place to engage students with this year’s theme of ‘Connections’.  

A Muslim prayer room was recently launched in the Secondary Campus just in time for Ramadan thanks to the efforts of the Student Council team.

We are very pleased to announce that we will be holding our first Green Market to celebrate Earth Week on Thursday 6th April from 2.30pm to 4pm. Students may come dressed in blue and green on this day. 

On Tuesday and Wednesday this week, BSKL put on a spectacular show of the musical Bugsy Malone. Huge congratulations to everyone involved.

Last Saturday, our U9 & U11 Football teams competed in the AIMS Football Tournament. 

Over two days of intense competition, the BSKL Climbing Lions earned an amazing second place for the Overall Team category in the FOBISIA Climbing Invitational held at Camp5, 1 Utama.

BSKL push up challenge last week was hugely successful raising 5 figure amount for ANGSANAcare.

The 2023 U13 FOBISIA Games was held at the Pattana Complex in Pattaya, Thailand.
