Our German Community bring Christmas to our doorstep

10 November 2013

Anyone who has ever been to a traditional German Christmas Market, will know the wonderful atmosphere this type of market brings to our school, with the smell of delicious food, gingerbread and, of course, glühwein.

Welcome to the 2013 Christmas Tree Lighting and German Market at our Shunyi campus on Saturday 23rd November from 4pm to 7.30pm.

This fun family event will include the German market outside the front of school, proudly organised by the Parents' Association and our dedicated and hardworking parent volunteers, many of who are native German speakers.

Traditional wooden huts, selling hot waffles, sausages, gingerbread and glühwein, will be in place around the big tree near the front doors.

It promises to be a wonderful family atmosphere, culminating in the lighting of the tree at around 6.15pm.

Our whole-school orchestra and choir will perform traditional Christmas carols throughout the evening.

We look forward to seeing you there.
