In maths the children have been learning about money in everyday life. They have learnt this through a series of visual and kinaesthetic lessons as well as role play opportunities where the children calculated the correct amounts and coins to purchase their favourite toys.
In English we have been learning about poems. The children read Kit Wright's poem, The Magic Box. Following this the children each wrote about what they would put in their own magic box if they had one. They provided a large selection of interesting items ranging from a white rabbit to the sound of a door closing slowly.
In Topic this week we have been learning about senses. We have approached each sense one by one which included a sound walk, smell test and a taste tense amongst other activities. Some of the children were excited to eat biscuits made from crickets, others were just happy with the chocolate. As you can see from the photo, Andy did not like the lemon!
