Y5 and Y6 Colour House Football Tournament News

09 October 2014

The Y5 and Y6 had their first colour house competition of the year in the week of September 22nd. The field was lit up with blue, green, red and yellow colour house t-shirts. The games were very exciting and the level of play was excellent. It was a wonderful way to finish the Y5 and Y6 football unit in PE.

The Y5 boy’s competition saw the Vikings take 1st Place, winning two and drawing one game. The girl’s competition was won by the Normans who won all of their matches.

In the Y6 boys competition the Romans and Vikings shared 1st Place, with both teams winning two games and drawing one, as their goal difference was equal, as well as wins and loses. The Saxon girls took 1st Place, winning on point difference, followed closely by the Romans.

All in all the tournaments were a celebration of the student’s football skills progressing over the 5 week unit. It was nice to see the sun was shining for us on both competitions and a few parents were able to come along and support their child’s colour house.
