Our School Council is made up of representatives from each class starting with Year One. The purpose of the Council is to give our students a voice in helping BSB to be the very best school in Beijing.
Each week, under the guidance of Miss Hudson (2BH) and Miss Scruton (4VS), the Council meets to discuss ideas about our school.
The councillors from Year Four to Year Six are currently applying for the roles of Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary and will soon be interviewed by Mr Allman. The representatives from Year One to Year Three can apply for the junior version of these roles.
Each councillor has decorated a suggestion box for their class. The children in each class will be encouraged to post ideas into the box about any issues or ideas they may have regarding any aspect of school life or anything they might want help with.
The Council has already come up with some fund-raising ideas for the Christmas Fayre. The councillors see a big part of their role as helping other students be aware that we should be helping others who are less fortunate.
Please see the display board near the Primary Office for on-going information about the work of the Council.
