World Scholars' Cup Updates from Yale - Day 1

13 November 2015

  • WSC

Update from: Nov 13 Fri 9:15am (Nov 12 Thurs 8:15pm NYC time)

We safely arrived at Newark International Airport on Thursday 12th November 10.30am NYC time this morning where we met our transfer that took us to the Omni Hotel in New Haven. We were unable to check-in straight away on arrival so had lunch at a cafe opposite. Eventually we were able to check in and had a well needed shower after 17 hours of travelling.

To keep us awake we had an evening stroll around New Haven to begin to get our bearings. We found the Yale gift shop and explored some of Yale's University campus. We returned to the hotel to register for the World Scholars Cup, picked up our ID badges needed for the event and went to a nearby restaurant for dinner. After a very long Thursday we finally went to bed!!

It hasn't been the most exciting day. There should be more to say tomorrow with more photographs!
