Year 5 Newsletter Entry
It’s been a busy term in Year 5. Not only have we been studying about Space and writing our own adventure stories but we also participated in the Year 5/6 production, The Pen of Shakespeare. For quite a few weeks the children were learning songs, dances and lines in order to prepare for the final presentations on December 2nd and 3rd. They worked extremely hard, were very dedicated and put on an outstanding performance in each of the 3 shows. Here’s what some of the children had to say:
“Our fabulous, amazing production is very, very fun! We have the 3 mini role plays: Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet and Midsummer Night’s dream. I am in Macbeth and it’s the most serious tragedy I have EVER been in. I play the part of Lady Macbeth. Lady Macbeth’s personality in 1 word is: serious. She is all about killing and being queen and I absolutely LOVE her. My favourite part about the production is the acting. I loved acting since I was 3. And I hope everyone will enjoy it and think our play is fantabulous!”

“I feel very proud to be participating in such an amazing production. There are so many things to take part in such as: singing, dancing, acting and having fun (In Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, and Midsummer Night’s Dream). I experienced a character I have never done before and it was a narrator (story teller). It was very fun acting, singing and dancing. It was an experience I will never forget.”
