The children in Year 5 recently began their learning about space with a day of astronaut training to spark their enthusiasm and curiosity for the upcoming topic.
They all came to school in their astronaut costumes, which were fantastic, before spending a day completing all sorts of challenges, from landing a lunar space craft to researching how their lives would be in space with a QR code hunt. Everyone had a great time dressed up and in role and learnt a tremendous amount.
We would like to thank the parents of the Year 5 children for making their costumes possible which added a massive amount to the event.
