Classroom News & Photos - Year 2

12 March 2015

What a fantastic week we have had in year 2!

In English children have been working very hard writing instructions for games we have been playing in class. They have been using bossy vocabulary and time connectives to make sure everyone can follow their instructions.

The children have been looking at word problems in Maths this week with the children using the Read, Underline, Choose, Solve, Answer, Check method to answer questions. The children have found this challenging but very rewarding when they complete a difficult question.

During Topic sessions this week we have been creating a fair test to identify the best conditions to grow plants. The children created different variables such as soil, sunlight, water and love. Children have particularly enjoyed singing to and complementing the plant that should receive love.
