Year 4 was buzzing with “A Taste of Italy” this week to celebrate the beginning of our new topic on Italy and Rome!
The children rotated round four different activities throughout the whole day to get them excited to learn about the history, geography, language and culinary delights of this amazing country.
By the end of the day they had created a tourist map of Italy illustrating the hot spots to visit, created a large visual timeline showing important dates in history including the Roman Empire, learned some simple Italian words and phrases as well as making (and eating) their own pizza and pasta while listening to the amazing voice of Pavarotti!
A great day was had by all.
