Classroom News & Photos - Year 1

25 March 2015

In Year 1, the children have been taking an active part in our school book week,’ Portable Magic’.

The week opened with a Fancy Dress parade when everyone (including the teachers!) had to come to school dressed as a book character. The children had a great day in role!

The 4 classes have been learning about a variety of stories, from Eric Carle’s ‘Bad tempered ladybird’ to ‘Aliens love underpants’. They have all been busy writing, drawing and creating artwork about them.

Also the classes were given the challenge of creating a piece of art to be auctioned at the PA ball. The children have worked very hard to work together with a variety of media with one aim in mind.

They have done a great job!
