On the 21st to 22nd March, a group of Year 11 students successfully completed a 2 day hike and 1 night camp in the Yanqing hills, north-west of Beijing.
This was as part of their Silver Award to help prepare them to the main expedition that will take place in June in Inner Mongolia.
The route was up and down hills, sand dunes and they passed by an area that has film sets that are used for movies. The students completed all this while carrying 60 litres rucksacks.
The students worked well in their teams, showed great enthusiasm and were a credit to themselves and the school. A big Thank you to Miss Hemming, Mr. Alles and Mr. Harrison who helped supervise the weekend.
