On the 19th June, The British School of Beijing (BSB) Shunyi will be holding its second annual ‘Shakespeare by Heart’ House Competition in the Duke of York Theatre.
Students from Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 will be performing famous scenes from Shakespeare plays in order to win points for their House.
Last year’s event was an amazing spectacle and featured students performing extracts from Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet and Julius Caesar (see photos above). Students were scored on the quality of their recitation, the delivery of the passage and overall stage presence.
Students are already learning their lines in English classes and exploring the famous plays from which these immortal scenes are taken from.
All the World’s a Stage, and the students at BSB will undoubtedly give a performance to remember!
