We had a fantastic time when we visited Pingyao last week for our Year 4 residential. My favourite part was the night shopping. It was fun and I love shopping! First I saw a bracelet that I wanted to buy, it was so pretty but the woman asked for 25RMB I bargained and got it for 15! Mr Hughes bought us ice-cream, I chose strawberry and it was delicious. It was my favourite day!  ---- By Heloisa Borba Year 4.

Pingyao was awesome! My favourite part was the underground city, it was so exciting and very interesting. I thought there might be booby traps but luckily there wasn’t! We learnt about how the tunnels were used during attacks to the city, it was really cool. ---- By Alexander Taylor Year 4

Thursday was the best day of my life! Me and my friends went to the mysterious underground tunnel, it was so exciting. At first I felt nervous as I thought we might get lost and never find our way out of the tunnel! As we walked through suddenly I saw cracks in the ceiling, my heart started to pound I felt very scared! I walked through the difficult way which was steep and downhill. When we found our way out I gave a sigh of relief and we were on the top of a beautiful mountain! ---- By Cheryl Chong Year 4.
