In terms of university destinations, it has been another great year for BSB students. Of the 2015 graduating class, 87% applied for university and have received offers from excellent universities all over the world. Of these, 89% were offered places at their first choice university.
Such has been the level of maturity and self-awareness amongst this year’s graduating class that students have researched, identified and secured places at the universities that were absolutely right for them. These have included some of the world’s most prestigious seats of learning, including the London School of Economics, Edinburgh University, Exeter University, the University of British Columbia, the University of Toronto, Herriot Watt, Lehigh, Indiana, and the University of Lausanne, and this is testament to the quality of students graduating from BSB.
In every graduating class, there are always individuals with particularly compelling stories, and this year is no exception. I would like to mention two students who are not only going to their first choice universities, but are going to the universities they have dreamed of going to their entire lives.
- Marta Perez Fernandez is fulfilling a lifetime ambition by heading to London to the School of Oriental and African Studies to read Economics and Development.
- Despite receiving offers and scholarships from the Canadian Universities of British Columbia and Toronto, Chloe Shi is going to study Economics where she always told everyone she would be going, the prestigious London School of Economics.
Well done both of you and to the entire graduating class of 2014-2015!
