Hong Bao Collection 2016

30 January 2016

  • Chinese lanterns

Dear Parents

As is traditional at this time of year, we invite parents at BSB to contribute to the collection of ‘Hong bao’  - this is money in a red envelope given  as a ‘thank you’  at Chinese New Year.

The collection will be divided equally between the security staff, site maintenance team, the bus ayis and head ayis. Although it is clearly the responsibility of the school as employer to recognise the work these colleagues do, many parents have in the past also wanted to add a gesture of personal thanks which is why this tradition was started a few years ago.

If you would like to make a donation please place your envelope in the collection box at main reception which will be there until Wednesday 3rd February.

Of course you may wish to make a personal Hong bao to these important people that make our campus the secure, safe and clean site it is.

We wish you a very happy Chinese New Year and Spring Festival holiday.

Best wishes from the BSB PA
