It has been an exciting time in Nursery over the last few weeks where we have been showing a keen interest in books and people that help us. As part of our people that help us topic we visited Mr. Cundall in the secondary workshop who showed us many different machines and tools. The children got to see some of the tools in action and got to see a real workman cut wood just like ‘Bob the Builder’.

We have been looking at the Very Hungry Caterpillar and all the treats that he likes to eat. The children were busy making morning snack chopping all his favorite fruits making sure they added 1 apple, 2pears, 3plums, 4strawberries and 5 oranges to make an amazing fruit salad. We also played fun counting games counting all the fruit that the ‘Very Hungry Caterpillar’ had been eating as well as creating lovely caterpillar artwork.

We have also been very excited about our new outdoor area and toys. Unfortunately we haven’t spent much time outside due to pollution play but we did get to sample some fun inside and we are all very keen to get outside at the earliest opportunity.
