ACAMIS Swim Championships @ DCSZ/SSIS (Suzhou, China)

BSB Aquabears swim team, took a squad of 28 students to the ACAMIS Championships held in Suzhou, China. This was the second time BSB participated in the ACAMIS Swim Championships. We finished 11th Overall out of 23 schools, 3 places better than last year. Highlights of the competition for BSB: we gained 10 1st place heat winners,

12 2nd place heat winners, & 17 3rd place heat winners. I calculated 58 personal best times gained as well!

All swimmers gave 100% effort no matter their level of swim skill which ultimately gained them vital points for the team (BSB). All in all, a successful trip and a competition we shall be definitely be training for and competing in again next year!

U11 Boys/Girls ISAC Badminton Championships @BIBA

Our badminton team participated in the U11 ISAC Badminton tournament which was hosted by Beijing International Bilingual Academy (BIBA). The children were really excited about the tournament and practiced with great enthusiasm in the morning. 9 schools were represented at the tournament, with over 100 students participating! A big thank you to all of the parents who came to support us.

The boys did a great job and won 5 matches. The girls played extremely well and won 20 matches! I am very proud of our badminton team for playing so hard and being so supportive. The children were bursting with energy and they continued practicing with each other even after they had all finished their matches.

It was a great experience for all of us and we had a lot of fun!
