Year 9 French Bake Off

06 April 2016

  • Year 9 French

The Year 9 French students competed in a friendly bake off competition. They have been working on the topic of food in French.  For the challenge, both classes split into two groups and were given a recipe in French. They had to understand not only what to do and the different steps of the recipe but also had to understand the terminology of cooking instructions and the vocabulary of food and utensils.

The winning team had to produce the best biscuits which were judged by our baker “extraordinaire”, Mrs Cundall. All teams did a fabulous job and were very competitive. It was very difficult to decide on a winning team. All of the students enjoyed eating biscuits they actually made and were proud of what they had achieved.
