This week in Reception, we have begun our new theme ‘I like to move it…’ We are following the direction of the students’ interests by exploring space, rockets, the stars, the solar system and astronauts. We have been discussing what we already know about space and have been designing our own planets.

We have been learning different facts about astronauts, what they wear and do. Today we learnt how astronauts make sandwiches and wash their hair on the International Space Station in zero gravity. We will also be using the theme of space exploration to move and dance in different ways, imagining we are on the moon, or zooming like a rocket!
