Tiger Leaping done! An early rise this morning to complete our amazing hike. We left the Tea Horse guesthouse heading north towards our finish point Tina’s guesthouse. The aim was to complete the remaining 10km by lunchtime. This leg of the hike was a reward for all the hard work put in during day one. We were spoilt all day by breathtaking views of waterfalls; snow capped mountains; needle edged spurs and the turbulent Yangtze (see photos).

After lunch a very tired Year 10 set off south towards Sha Xi old town. The bus trip took 3hrs with some ‘interesting’ mountain roads with hair pin bends. On arrival we were greeted by our hosts and shown to our court yard accommodation. Dinner was the best yet, typical Yunnan cuisine.
