  • NAE UNICEF Day 7 (5)

Today we attended the much anticipated UN High Level Political Forum. Many important people spoke at the event, including delegates from the UAE and Bulgaria. Our BSB Shunyi student Edward and 3 other students from NAE spoke at the event and were fantastic. Their articulate manner and passion for the Sustainable Development Goals was evident for all to see.

This evening we had a gala dinner at The Juilliard School. We heard many interesting and inspiring people speak, such as Shannon O’Shea, UNICEF’s Partnerships Manager and our CEO Andrew Fitzmaurice. We then enjoyed a delicious dinner and a lovely last evening with the other NAE students.

NAE students from around the world are in New York for the NAE-UNICEF Student Summit taking place from 6 to 13 July. This is a unique opportunity for our students to contribute to the discussion on the Globlal Goals and influence policy at the highest level.

Stay tuned for more daily updates from Ms. Emma Brown.
