Day 3: After the usually delicious breakfast, we had an amazing hike through the woods to Wenhai Lake. The scenic views of the beautiful reservoir with the backdrop of the Jade Snow mountain and glacier were simply breathtaking. All students completed the hike and thoroughly enjoyed the walk and then spent some time by the lake taking in the beautiful views.

In the evening they visited the Yi minority village and were able to witness the ancient rituals being conducted by the respected shaman of the village and students also felt fully engaged in the cultural experience. At the end of the active and intellectually stimulating day, they had another sumptuous dinner filled with local delicacies.

We will go onward to Shaxi for Day 4 of the Year 10 trip tomorrow morning after breakfast.
