On 21st March, 24 Years 5 and 6 musicians boarded a plane for Manila, Philippines for the Primary Music FOBISIA festival. The moment had finally arrived for these students who auditioned way back in October and had been rehearsing for months!

This year’s theme was “Thriller in Manila”, so all the pieces had a spooky theme, such as “Phantom of the Opera” and of course Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”! Students had a wonderful time preparing for the concert as well as attending various workshops, which featured traditional Philippine games and dances.

It was an unforgettable experience and an amazing opportunity for both teachers and students.

Please read the more detailed blog entries for the festival here and enjoy the photos!

Ms. Haley Clark

Director of Music
