BSB Year 10 GCSE students have recently completed an assemblage sculpture project using used objects.

The students studied the paint effects of the artist; Jay Taylor and Finnabair before applying their knowledge to a found object in order to create meaning. Finnabair is a mixed media artist, product designer, and teacher from Ireland. Jay Taylor is a self-taught, independent artist, specialising in intuitive, mostly-abstract artwork which freely expresses the close connection to nature and spirit.

Students first developed a variety of experimental painting techniques before upcycling a found object into a beautiful sculptural piece!
