1.What do you think is special about BSB?
That it's such a close-knit community, and I can gain help and support whenever I need it.
2. How has studying at BSB helped you achieve academic success/ university acceptance/ personal development?
By studying at BSB, I have improved my grades from all Cs and Ds and Es to 43 out of 45 for my IB Diploma.
3.Who is your favourite teacher and why?
Mr. Wheeler, because he's the person that encouraged and motivated me to take study seriously, and my academic performance have steadily improved since knowing him.
4.Please describe 2 of your best memories of your time at BSB.
International day - where I get to taste the food of different cultures.
The Model United Nations trip to Singapore - we not only got to participate in a world-class MUN conference, but also to have fun at the Universal Studio. I liked the combination of work and leisure activities in this trip the most.
(Daniel and other BSB students participated in the THIMUN in 2019. Throughout the 5 days of the conference, the students had the chance to engage in high-quality debates, intense lobbying and assist in passing of significant resolutions. Click here to read about the trip.
5.Please describe any charity work that you have participated in?
Volunteering for Chatter Box, Roundabout, and a local orphanage in Beijing.
6.What advice do you have for other students at school?
Plan ahead for your future, think about what you would like to study at university and prepare for it by choosing the right IGCSE/IB Diploma course.
