Jasmine Bourne

Jasmine Bourne

Year 12

Jasmine joined our school in 2007. Jasmine is the epitome of a BSB student having never attended any other school. Her experience from then to now- both academically and beyond the classroom- shows just how much a student can gain from a BSB education: “I think BSB is great at encouraging students to participate, whether that’s in class discussions or after school. For example, I joined the volleyball school team, and I’m currently in the school musical. This helps build our confidence and social skills both within school and for when we graduate and need to be risk takers and confident speakers in job interviews and so on.”

It isn’t just outside the classroom that Jasmine has flourished. Thanks to the supportive environment and personalised approach of teachers, Jasmine was able to successfully complete her IGCSEs in May and June of this year with an outstanding set of results: 5 A*s and 4 As. Jasmine is particularly proud of the A*s she achieved in Art and Psychology as they were her favourite subjects: “Art was challenging over the 2 years as there was a lot of hours put into the art pieces so it was a relief it all paid off.”

Jasmine’s goal is to study medicine in the future at her dream university: The University of Edinburgh. She knows that to do it, she will need a great set of IB results. We will support you every step of the way Jasmine!
