German Klasse Teacher

Bachelor's degree, Teaching Certificate for German as a Second Language, DAZ (deutsch als zweistsprache) certificate

After I graduated from the University of Stuttgart in 2006 with a Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy and English, I worked as a teacher for teenagers and helped them to achieve a graduation or an apprentice position. I have worked in many pedagogical fields before like coaching, counselling and training. I also have a DAZ (deutsch als zweistsprache) certificate from the Goethe institute.

When we came to China in 2012, I chose to get additionally certified as a teacher in German as a second language and teaching children in kindergarten which I really liked a lot. I then worked as a teacher for German as a second language and a teacher for special needs with preschool children. My last job was as a special needs teacher in a German primary school until I received the great opportunity to work as a German Class Teacher at the BSB Shunyi, which I am really looking forward to.

I love being a teacher because I love the impact that a great teacher can have on a child’s education and life. I love seeing students grow in confidence over the the school year and feel lucky to be able to help to form and support them. I love to travel and experience new countries and cultures together with my family. I also love dancing and spending time with my family.
