Emma Brown

Emma Margaret Brown (1)

Assistant Head of Primary

I joined BSB in August 2015 as a Year 6 teacher. I have a degree in Sociology from the University of Warwick, UK and completed my teaching qualification at Warwick as well.

BSB is my first international post, having previously taught in Year 6 and Year 3 in a school in Cambridge, UK. I have spent some of my school holidays travelling and fell in love with Asia so am very excited about teaching in Beijing.

At my prior school I was in charge of reading and enjoyed sharing my passion for books with my class and the wider school. I was also head of PE and loved introducing children to new sports and organising sports tournaments and activities.

I try to make my lessons as fun and creative as possible to ensure children have a positive learning experience that they have really enjoyed. Engaging children with topics they are interested in helps ensure they get the most out of lessons and their school career.
