I have a wide range of experiences in inclusion following my studies in Special Educational Needs (SEN). I have a BA degree in Education Studies, Special Educational Needs & Inclusion from Bishop Grosseteste University. I also have a PGCE (SEN) from Sheffield Hallam University and a Level 7 Certificate in Psychometric Testing - CCET. This has equipped me with strong knowledge and confident ideas in how best to manage classroom practices to ensure a child-centred approach to learning. As part of my degree, I spent a period of time working in India which led to an interest in international education and different educational systems around the world.
I have previously worked in England, UAE and Ukraine. In my last job, I was working in a new school for Emirati children with Autism. It is a unique setting and one which I am proud to have worked in as the UAE changes and really puts a focus on children with different learning needs. I am now ready to continue my personal and professional journey which BSB Shunyi offers. I am excited to join a highly established school in a fantastic country and develop the current Learning Support programme to allow all students achieve the best they can.
I enjoy travelling and making new memories through different experiences, my most memorable moment to date is skydiving over The Palm in Dubai. It has made me want to do more and experience more!
I am excited to be making the move to Beijing and continuing my passion for travelling and exploring new cultures. I have visited 17 countries and it will be my first time coming to China so that will make it 18! I’m looking forward to lots more to explore and experience in this fabulous country, so please advise me where is good to travel to within China and some interesting and exciting things to experience!
