Year 1 Teacher

University Degree: BA Education Studies, QTS

I have worked in the education sector for 10 years in London, my home town. I started off working as a nursery nurse and discovered my love for working with children and I knew this was the perfect career choice for me. I then went on to working as a TA then a HLTA for the next 5 years where I also completed my Bachelor of Arts degree in Education Studies at the University of East London and gained my Qualified Teacher Status at Schools Direct.

Once I was qualified, I then worked as a primary school teacher in a Newham school in East London for 3 years. Whilst working in London I obtained lots of experience, especially in special educational needs and EAL.  Although my roles have differed over time, it has given me great satisfaction in teaching different children, building relationships and playing a major role in each child’s academic development. I believe that the teaching profession is a rewarding and fulfilling job.

I am now at a stage in my career where I want to travel and gain new experiences whilst working in an international school. This is an amazing opportunity and I am delighted to be in China. Deciding to work at BSB is a great choice for me and I am excited for the new adventure ahead.

I have many hobbies such as; reading, travelling, listening to music, spending time with my family and cooking. I hope to learn how to cook some new traditional dishes especially because I will enjoy tasting them!
