In 2009 I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Primary Education (with Qualified Teacher Status QTS) with a specialism in Early Years Education from the University of Sunderland, UK. Since graduating, I have worked across the entire Primary age-range, teaching children with a range of special educational needs and second language English learners. I quickly realised I had a passion for early education and enjoy leading a highly successful and enthusiastic team at BSB!
I have been a member of the BSB family since 2014, which has been a very exciting experience. I am very passionate about following children's interests to make learning a magical experience for all children, ensuring each child achieves to their maximum potential. I believe in creating life-long learners and teaching children the skills they need to face the challenges of life and allow them to succeed. I'm incredibly proud of the fantastic environment we offer in Early Years at BSB and the wonderful children we teach.
I love to travel and enjoy exploring places in China, as well as throughout Asia during holidays and weekends and have enjoyed taking part in many new activities during my time in Beijing. I am an avid reader and I enjoy socialising and dining out in Beijing's many restaurants. I also enjoy dabbling in cooking although my creations are a definite work in progress.
