Jonathan Luke Jones (2)

Year 3 Teacher, Head of Year 3

It is a privilege to be joining BSB Shunyi as a Year 3 Teacher and the Head of Year 3.  I obtained a Bachelor of Arts and Graduate Diploma of Education from the Univeristy of Newcastle, Australia in 2006. I initially worked for ten years at one private school in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, teaching across a range of subject areas in both the primary and secondary school. In 2014, I completed a Masters of Education from the University of New England, majoring in School Leadership and Management.

BSB is my second international posting, having previously taught for the last two years at another international school in Beijing, where I undertook the role of a Year 3 Teacher and Numeracy Coordinator.

I have moved to Beijing with my wife, Ruth, along with our two children who will join BSB in Year 4 and Year 6.  My family and I have enjoyed living in Beijing and we enjoy spending our spare time sampling the wonderful sites, sounds and tastes available to us. I also enjoy various sporting activities, including swimming, basketball and football, and playing and listening to music.
