Lisa Davies

I joined BSB in March 2014. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and German from Aston University, Birmingham. I completed my PGCE (Primary Key Stage 1 and 2) at the University of Gloucestershire.

BSB is my second international school. I previously taught in Year 1 and 2 at another British school in Beijing. Prior to teaching in Beijing, I taught children from 3-11 years old in Cardiff, Wales.  I gained extensive knowledge of teaching using the Foundation Stage for Wales and the National Curriculum during this time.

I place particular emphasis on making learning as interesting, engaging and as fun as possible for children. I consistently aim to involve children in their learning using assessment for learning techniques. I enjoy discovering children’s interests and tailoring their learning.

I live in Shunyi with my husband Mark and two young daughters. In my spare time, I love spending quality time with my family, running and learning new languages. During the holidays, I enjoy travelling and experiencing cultures across Asia.
