I have been a teacher of Design and Technology in a range of different schools over the last 12 years. I have taught in the UK, Portugal and most recently in Peru. I have taught the full range of subjects within the Design and Technology umbrella; Graphic Products, Resistant Materials, Electronics, Textiles, Food and Systems and Control. I have consistently helped students achieve outstanding results and maintain the highest expectations of all my students. I am passionate about my subject and dedicated to helping young people achieve their full potential.
While I was in the UK I completed a degree at the London College of Printing and Distributive Trade (Printing Management), a Masters in Science (Imaging) at Westminster University, and a Postgraduate Certificate (PGCSE) in Design and Technology at Greenwich University. I have completed a range of other shorter courses from Graphic Design to Teaching English as a Second Language.
I enjoy a range of recreational activities from kite surfing to long distance cycling. While I was in Peru I cycled the ‘Carretera Austral’ from Santiago de Chile. I have a love for the great outdoors which I try to share with students. I ran the International Award Silver and Gold Level while in Peru. I took students through world famous treks such as the Santa Cruz circuit which rises to 4200m as part of the Adventurous Journey. I enjoy travelling and different cultures which brings me to Beijing and the wonderful British School of Beijing.
