I completed my BSc in Psychology in 1996, and then went on to complete my PGCE at Greenwich University in 1999. I started teaching in a sixth form college and became the Head of one of the largest A’ level Psychology departments in the UK with just under 500 students enrolled on the course. In that time I mentored trainee teachers, liaised with exam boards, became a ‘super mentor’ to other heads of department, and led a very succesful team to achieve consistent outstanding results.
I eventually left this role as I was seeking new challenges. As a result, I went to work in an international school in Kazakhstan. In this role I taught both Psychology and Science. When I left the school, both departments were the highest performing subjects in the school. For the last year I have been working in a British boarding school in which I was the Head of Psychology and the Extended Project Qualification.
