I was born in Manchester and spent the majority of my early life in the North West of England, apart from one year in Australia. At school I was very active in sports and I became interested in maths and science. After graduating from Bradford University I went into the chemical industry where I had roles as an Adhesive Chemist, Chemical Technical Representative for the whole of the U.K as well as running my own business.
In 2005 I started my career in teaching, obtaining my PGCE from Edge Hill University in Lancashire, England. Since then I have taught in Lancashire, Guernsey, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates and China. In the Middle East I taught general science, IGCSE Physics and IGCSE, A level, IBDP Chemistry as well as holding middle management positions. As a manager I also won U15 Kuwait football tournament. For the last 2 years I have been the Head of Chemistry at a local prestigious school in Beijing teaching A level and IB Chemistry to high achieving Chinese students.
My fondest memories have been to see students realise their dreams of going onto the university of their choice. I am pleased to be joining BSB to teach students from various countries in an international school with their fantastic facilities and resources.
