Anita Ayeh-Kumi

Secondary Drama Teacher, Head of Year 9

Bachelor in Theatre, PGCE, TESOL

I grew up in one of London's most iconic neighbourhoods ‘Notting Hill’. Best known as the home of the world's second-biggest carnival (after Rio's Mardi Gras) and home to the famous Portobello Road Market.  My parents played an important role during my childhood and introduced me to a variety of dance, theatre, and music.

My love for performing arts started when I stepped on stage aged 7 and I have not looked back since.

I am very happy to join the BSB Shunyi team as a Drama Teacher.  I have a Bachelor's degree in Theatre from Surrey University, PGCE and TESOL Teaching Certificates and a Diploma in Health and Social Care (children and young people) from the University of East London.  I have many years of international teaching experience in England, Dubai, and China. I aim to inspire and motivate all children to be the best that they can be whilst having fun learning!
