Hour of Code

Over 180 countries take part in the Hour of Code, which encourages students to experiment with computer science and learn important skills for the future.

  • Hour of Code 2016_Video

From 5th to 11th December, students in Key Stages 3 and 4 took part in the widely-acclaimed Hour of Code — a global initiative where people of all ages complete a coding activity for at least an hour. The aim of the program is to enable those without any prior knowledge of computer programming to have a go at developing a game.

Our pupils were amongst the 325 million that completed their coding challenge around the world and all had an amazing time making their very own game. By programming the likes of Flappy Bird and Minecraft, etc, all pupils were awarded a certificate to recognise their hard work and achievements.
