Good news! The Association for Global Debaters (AGD) are coming to BSB to speak with our students about the art of debating. The talk is designed to develop the rhetoric skills of students, as well as demonstrate how to become better debaters.
Date: Wednesday 27th January
Time: 3:35-4:25pm
Location: BSB Theatre
Speaker: Mr. David Weeks, Association for Global Debaters
The talk is open to all students and will be delivered by Harvard University affiliates.
Although, as a school, we have a rich history of producing great debaters (with the likes of Jenny Hwang voted the best debater in the whole of China in last year's World Scholars' Cup Regional Round, and our 2 BSB teams being invited to attend the World Scholars' Cup Tournament of Champions in Yale University), we rarely have the opportunity to have such a prestigious group offering us individualized support and how to become better debaters.
Having been impressed with our school and the quality of our debate team, the AGD have said they'd love to deliver a talk to our debating group.
Update from: Mr. David Cairns, Teacher of English/Head of Year 8
