My name is Quynh (pronounced Quinn). I received my first Bachelor of Arts university degree in History and my second degree in English. I am currently completing a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from The College of New Jersey.
In 2014, I started my teaching career at ISHCMC, International School Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam as a middle school history teacher. After getting married, my husband and I moved to Kuala Lumpur (KL). After teaching EYFS and Primary students at Mont'Kiara International School in KL, I made a conscious decision to switch to be an EYFS and Primary school teacher. In 2019, when our son was old enough to enroll in Teddies at BSB Shunyi I joined BSB as a 1-1 Teaching Assistant in Year 5. In the 2020 academic year, I have been working as a permanent supply teacher in the Reception year group, supporting children with their learning both in and outside the classroom, teaching phonics, maths and all other class-based subjects.
I am super excited to join the BSB EYFS team in March 2021 as a Class Teacher. I thoroughly enjoy teaching children and I love to see how excited they are and how eager they are to learn. Daily they come to school with open minds and with playful attitudes about learning. I believe each child is special and deserves love, kindness, attention and most importantly education. Watching them learn, play, make mistakes and develop is truly an amazing experience for me. As an educator, I always give my best to support them and build up their confidence with care and a kind heart.
Personally, I enjoy travelling and exploring different countries and different cultures, especially their food. I also spend a lot of time doing meditation and yoga. I am married and our son Tommy is a student in Early Years too.
