I joined The British School of Beijing, Shunyi Campus in August 2008 after having left the UK in pursuit an overseas teaching career. I teach Mathematics to Secondary aged students including the Sixth form and am currently involved with organising International Mathematics Olympiads for students in year 7 through to year 13. I am also an Award Leader for the International Award and have been doing this since 2011.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Post–Graduate Certificate in Secondary Education from the University of Greenwich, London.
Prior to coming to China, I taught mainly in secondary schools in and around the London area and gained a wealth of experience from a variety of educational institutions. I have a huge passion for travel and my most memorable experience was taking part on a three week trekking expedition across the Amazon basin up through the Venezuelan rainforest which I did in August 2007.
My hobbies include Scuba Diving, Karate and I enjoy taking part in all sorts of hiking expeditions whenever the opportunity arises. I enjoy eating and preparing Asian style cuisine and have a tremendous curiosity when I travel around Asia sampling its diverse and deeply fascinating culture.
