How parents found community at NAIS Manila
Moving to a new city or country is a big step for any family — and finding the right school can make all the difference. At NAIS Manila, parents share how the school’s caring community, strong teacher-parent partnerships, and personal attention helped their children settle in quickly and thrive.
For Carla, whose family moved from Spain, it was their first time overseas. The right school needed to offer more than just academics. “This was the one that kind of checked all the boxes,” she shares. “Every time we talk to the teacher, every time we see how our kids read, we know we've made the right choice.”
That first impression was reinforced from the moment they stepped onto campus. “The guys at the gate, they were saying, hello, Jauma , hello Olivia. And I thought, ‘They just met us yesterday!’” Carla recalls. “They see thousands of kids coming in, and they remembered us. That made my children feel seen straight away.”
A place where families feel part of the journey
For Kimberly , the decision to change schools wasn’t easy. Coming from a small town in Canada, she and her daughters were looking for a school that felt personal and supportive. NAIS Manila quickly proved to be the right fit. “It has absolutely tenfold proven everything that people told us to be true. It is the family feel, it is the support, it is the kids, it is the principal, the teachers,” she shares.
Her daughters found not just friends, but a whole community where students across year groups knew and supported each other. “All the kids know each other. My girls hang out with kids older than them, younger than them — it all just blends together,” Kimberly explains. “They’re finding who they are, and the school is there to support them.”
For her, the confidence and independence her daughters have developed at NAIS Manila are some of the most important outcomes. “At the end of the day, I want my children to be confident in themselves, to know who they are, to know where they grew up, and to have the confidence to be able to go out into the world and do what they want and succeed,” Kimberly says.
A community that supports the whole family
Marv, a mother of three, found that same level of support at NAIS Manila. From the start, the school felt welcoming — not just for her children, but for her as well. “Everyone was very welcoming. The teachers, the staff, the students — they made us feel part of the community,” she says.
For Marv, it’s the little things that make the biggest impact, like being able to talk to the teachers every day at pickup, and knowing they truly understand her children’s needs.
“They are not just teachers, but they’re down to earth, and they make sure the children are learning. I made the right choice for my kids because I know they’re happy. They talk about school every day — they’re much more involved now,” she shares.
That sense of community has also extended to Marv herself. “The spirit of camaraderie, the spirit of collaboration, the spirit of togetherness are all there for my kids. And for me, as a single parent, that support has been everything,” she adds.
A school where families feel at home
Across every story, what stands out is the way NAIS Manila helps families feel like they belong — from the first day on campus to every step of their journey.
“It’s those little things that make you think, I did the right choice,” Carla reflects. “At the end of the day, my kids will remember that they have been here, they have been cared for, and that they have been loved.”
